Biography

I finished my bachelor in Quantitative Biology in Germany at the Heinrich Heine university in 2020 and started
subsequently my master in biology for which I am currently writing my master's thesis here at KAUST.

Research Interests

My main interests lie in bioinformatics, data science, marine science and research about climate change. I am interested in applying methods and ideas from bioinformatics in the field of marine science to get a better understanding of how climate change affects the marine ecosystem. During my time at KAUST I will be working on an assisted evolution project. Using genetic data from coral larvae I will try to find evidence for enhanced resilience against heat stress in the genome of the coral Platygyra.
