KAUST professors Manuel Aranda and Raquel Peixoto, with adjunct professor Chris Voolstra recently published a review discussing the research needed to improve the resilience of corals in future warmer climates by extending the existing natural capacity of corals. The article in KAUST Discovery briefly summarizes the discussion of selective breeding, probiotics as part of a framework of interventions and environmental monitoring.
