Symbiomics Lab @ KAUST Research Conference on Environmental Epigenetics

13 February, 2017

KAUST played host for a 4-day conference discussing the role of epigenetics in adapting to environmental changes, inviting external distinguished speakers from universities such as University of Cambridge, UC Irvine and The Salk Institute.

Two members of the Symbiomics Lab were involved actively in this conference. Yi Jin gave a talk on how the coral Stylophora pistillata experiences changes in DNA methylation patterns under pH stress, and how it might contribute to the phenotypic changes; Maha had a poster detailing her initial experience in cracking the histone code of Aiptasia, a model cnidarian system.
