Laboratory-Cultured Strains of the Sea Anemone Exaiptasia Reveal Distinct Bacterial Communities

Our latest publication in Frontiers in Marine Science describe the bacterial community of two commonly used strains of the sea anemone Exaiptasia that have been cultured in the laboratory long-term under identical conditions. We found a distinct bacterial microbiota for each strain, indicating the presence of host-specific microbial consortia.
